Letters from re-united birthmoms/adoptees
Giving hope to those
in search of...
Dear Sherry, I want to start by saying what a wonderful web site you have and if it was not for your site and
the help of a very special lady named Ellen I would still be searching for my birthparents. I am an adoptee and had been
searching for 3-4 years on and off for my birthparents. I came across your site just surfing the web and figured I
would post a message. I noticed you had a link for volunteer helpers and figured maybe I would find some one here to
help me with my search. I emailed Ellen one of your volunteers, and asked her to do a little research. Needless to say
in less than 2 weeks Ellen found my birthmother and family!! I was in total shock, not just finding my birthfamily
but the Quick work and Outstanding job Ellen did with out hesitation. I could have never have done it with out her , She
is truley one of gods little angels. I will close this email by saying once again THANK YOU to You for your web site
and the Unbeilvable work of your volunteers and most of all Ellen. Best wishes....Laura MacKay

Dear Sherry:
I was very nervous but exited at the same time. This
was truly a miracle. It was the last thing I expected. Amy (my daughter) and I had lunch, looked at pictures, talked
a lot and answered some questions. When I first saw her, it was like looking at me at 14. It was a little scary. I
had braces, glasses, and short hair, she had the same. But she knew stuff only my daughter could know. I told her
that I loved her, that I missed her, and that above all else, I am her mother. She told me alot about her parents,
she calls them mom and dad. Her mom is a dentist. And her dad works too, but I can't remember where or doing what.
It's alot to deal with in one day. But I've been praying about it all night and will continue to pray. At least now
Amy knows that I did not give her up, and that I love her very much.
Thank you for all of your help. It is
really appreciated.
Julie Akers
PS: I also got Amy's signature, her whole name, she now knows she
has two middle names, and she knows that she has Indian blood in her.
